Cobbossee is a 4-week, 2-session sleepaway summer camp in Maine. The dates for this position run from June 13th to August 10th, 2026.
Cobbossee is looking for talented and motivated, male and female, Sports Management Majors to intern in our staff this summer. The aim of this internship is to develop vast experience in the curriculum management, relationship development and engagement of our campers, aged 8-15, through a variety of sports and activities.
These include Water and Adventure pursuits but primarily align with coaching positions in; Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Tennis, Handball, Golf, Volleyball and Hockey. If you have interest or experience in developing young athletes in any of these areas, we have specialist roles available.
Throughout the summer you will receive close mentorship from career professionals, Cobbossee’s experienced ‘Program staff’ who are college and high school coaches, teachers and principals will manage you closely, providing support and iterative evaluation to provide an internship that provides vast contact time with a range of ages and personalities whilst developing your communication, group management and leadership.
Our motto is “Brotherhood through sports and adventure” and that starts with our outstanding staff. Our delightful campers (age 8-15) will look up to you as role models and friends. There will be powerful moments when you help them learn life lessons and inspire them to achieve things they didn’t think were possible. You will be delightfully challenged as well! Camp is an opportunity for everyone to push themselves, try new activities, learn new sports and build lasting friendships. Alongside your Major-specific internship, you will grow professionally and personally through this experience.
We have high expectations for our staff and put a lot of time and effort into selecting them. But the payoff for everyone is a close knit community of friends celebrating sport, adventure and the outdoors every day.

Ever wanted to see New England? Well, in addition to your Salary and Bonus, Cobbossee will provide you with a Travel Stipend so you can get out to Maine without spending your own money. (That’s right, we cover your travel so that you can take this adventurous internship).
Room and board is also provided ALL SUMMER LONG, so you won’t have any outgoings whilst at camp. Our female staff live separately to our boys and male staff in single gender accommodation. Inhouse benefits include an on-site laundry, staff room, weight room, arranged travel offsite and facilities use all summer. Further, and maybe most importantly for a summer work experience; days off and nights out are spent with other adventurous college-aged folks like you. Our counselors make lifelong friends at Cobbossee. Many return year-to-year. We have a very rich social scene over the summer, hiring men and women from all over the states and world.
INTERNSHIP INFORMATION
We intend to configure your employment this summer as an Internship. Each year Cobbossee provides around 30-40 staff with internships in a range of Sports Management, Education and Kinesiology positions. This experience can be one of the best paid internships you can find.
Requirements
Specialist experience playing or coaching sport of choice
