Hyatt House New Orleans Downtown is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven, and motivated Sales Manager to join our growing team. This entry-level sales opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional who is passionate about building client relationships, driving revenue, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

The focus of this position is both on group room sales and corporate negotiated volume accounts, including corporate, association, sports, social, and other business segments. The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and securing group room revenue that supports the hotel's overall revenue goals.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and eager to grow a career in hotel sales. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to develop strong client relationships, generate qualified group leads, convert opportunities into bookings, and contribute to the overall revenue growth of Hyatt House New Orleans Downtown. Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will actively prospect for new group business, respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage client relationships throughout the sales process. This role will work closely with hotel operations and revenue teams to ensure successful execution of group programs while consistently achieving group room revenue goals. The position also requires participation in networking events, hotel tours, and community outreach efforts to promote the property and expand market presence.

Qualifications

Required

• Degree from an accrediated university
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred

• Hospitality, hotel operations, or customer-facing hospitality experience.
• Previous sales, customer service, or business development experience.
• Familiarity with hotel sales systems such as Delphi or Opera.
• Knowledge of the New Orleans hospitality market.
