Description
About the Campaign
Darden Copeland is a Democrat running for Congress in Tennessee's newly redrawn 7th Congressional District. This is a genuinely competitive race: recent polling suggests a 5-point race, and Democrats improved their margin in this district by more than 12 points in the December 2025 special election.
Position Overview
The Finance Director builds and executes the fundraising plan for one of the country's most competitive House races. Recent polling suggests a 5-point race, which means national donors, PACs, and party committees are watching — and the campaign must raise the budget to match the opportunity. You will own the finance plan, major donor program, events calendar, and finance team, reporting directly to the Campaign Manager and working daily with the candidate.
Responsibilities
- Write and execute a comprehensive finance plan tied to the campaign budget
- Build and manage the major donor program, including identification, cultivation, and solicitation
- Plan and execute fundraising events in-district and in national money centers
- Manage the Call Time Manager and oversee the candidate call time program
- Own PAC, labor, and national partner fundraising outreach
- Work with the compliance firm to ensure accurate, on-time FEC reporting and contribution compliance
- Set and report against weekly and quarterly fundraising goals
Qualifications
- Two or more cycles of campaign finance experience, with at least one as a Finance Director or Deputy on a federal or competitive statewide/legislative race
- Proven record of hitting fundraising goals and managing call time programs
- Strong NGP skills and working knowledge of FEC rules and contribution limits
- Existing relationships with Democratic donors, PACs, or national fundraising networks a plus
- Ability to manage staff, consultants, and the candidate's time with confidence
Compensation & Details
