OVERVIEW The Saint Francis Health System Finance and Operations Management Fellowship is a system-wide, 24-month post-graduate program. As active members of the leadership team, Fellows attend board meetings and spearhead high-impact projects that directly advance the system's healing ministry. This hands-on experience spans diverse environments, including acute care hospitals, rural facilities, physician enterprises, and corporate departments. CORE FELLOWSHIP ROTATIONS -Decision Support: Analyzing key operational data to drive strategic choices. -Human Resources: Managing workforce planning, talent, and departmental operations. -Revenue Integrity: Optimizing billing accuracy, revenue cycle workflows, and compliance metrics. -Managed Care: Navigating complex insurance contracting, policies, and reimbursement structures. -Process Improvement: Enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and clinical workflows. -Supply Chain: Overseeing procurement, logistics, and resource management. -Utilization Management: Reviewing and managing healthcare resource consumption. -Project Management: Leading and executing system-wide strategic initiatives. -Population Health: Driving community-wide health outcomes and wellness initiatives. PRECEPTOR LEADERSHIP -Executive Mentorship: Fellows are paired with a member of the executive leadership team who serves as a dedicated preceptor during each rotation. -Experiential Reporting: Fellows submit comprehensive reports summarizing their experiences, key learnings, and strategic observations at the conclusion of each rotation. -Performance Evaluations: Real-time feedback is provided through formal evaluations after every rotation to highlight strengths and target growth opportunities. Requirements
Applications are accepted through the NAFCAS website. Each application must include the following: -One-page personal statement of interest in pursuing a career in Healthcare Administration and interest in Saint Francis Health System -Current resume -Two letters of recommendation (from the program director and current/past employer) -Official graduate transcript -Unofficial undergraduate transcript
