Description
OverviewThe Event Sales Manager is responsible for planning and execution of event sales at the club, enhancing the member and guest experience, and strategically driving event revenue. In collaboration with the Event Sales Director, this role manages client relationships and ensures successful coordination of all event sales. The position exercises independent judgment in sales, business development, event planning, and revenue generation while leading and developing the Event Sales Coordinator. The Manager plays a key role in achieving the annual event sales plan by maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence.

Experience Required
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or events industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Preferred
- College degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience establishing marketing and prospecting programs to drive event revenues.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and event management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.
Work Schedule
- Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on the weekly schedule.
- Additional hours are required to meet deadlines of the position, including weekends and/or holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the execution of sales plans to drive event sales revenue, ensuring alignment with club goals and regional sales standards.
- Provide direction to Event Sales Coordinator to achieve targets by fostering a results-driven and collaborative sales environment.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide insights that support the development of sales strategies.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and prospects through proactive engagement and networking opportunities within and beyond the club.
- Oversee and guide the client consultation process, offering recommendations and assisting in the development of event solutions that align with client expectations and club objectives.
- Evaluate and act on client feedback to identify opportunities for service enhancements and improved client satisfaction.
- Establish standards for documentation and tracking of event-related activities and expenses in compliance with financial and operational policies.
- Utilize sales management tools, such as Cater Pro and Power BI, to assist in tracking sales performance and managing event data effectively.
- Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
- Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
- Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to the role.
- Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
- Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team's success.
