Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business seeks two full-time, research-active Finance faculty members beginning August 16, 2027:
- One Assistant Professor, tenure-track, in Finance
- One Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track or tenured, in Finance

The Department of Finance invites applications for these two appointments. All teaching and research areas in Finance will be considered. Applicants should submit one application through this posting and will be considered for both appointments for which they may qualify.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and sustaining a productive program of high-quality scholarly research leading to publication in respected refereed journals
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Finance courses consistent with departmental needs
- Mentoring students and supporting their academic and professional development
- Contributing to the academic life and service activities of the Department, Hankamer School of Business, and University
The Department of Finance, Hankamer School of Business, and Baylor University provide excellent support for faculty research and teaching.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A PhD in Finance or a closely related field, completed or expected to be completed by August 2027
- A record of, or strong potential for, high-quality scholarly research in Finance appropriate to the rank sought
- A record of, or strong potential for, effective teaching in undergraduate and/or graduate Finance courses appropriate to the rank sought
- Ability and willingness to mentor students and contribute to department, school, and university service
- Ability to support and contribute to Baylor University's Christian mission
Candidates considered for appointment at the Associate Professor rank must possess an established record of high-quality research, effective teaching, and service appropriate to the rank. Any appointment with tenure is subject to Baylor University review and approval.

For full consideration in the initial review, applications should be received by September 15, 2026. Review will begin September 16, 2026 and continue until the positions are filled. Preliminary interviews will be conducted by Zoom around the FMA and AFA Annual Meetings, as appropriate. Nothing received after April 15, 2027 can be considered.
Candidates who are outside of the United States and do not have other nonimmigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.
The substantive wording above retains the structure of the previously prepared single Finance search, but updates the number and rank composition from three positions to the two positions now authorized.
