GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Treasury Management Sales Associate is responsible for marketing and selling the Credit Union's Treasury Management suite of products to existing and new commercial members; soliciting new core commercial deposits; acting as relationship manager on all deposit/treasury management matters for members as well as monitoring market conditions and trends to keep their respective markets competitive.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Solicits, establishes and maintains new commercial relationships for the Credit Union with a focus on treasury management products and core deposit growth.
2. Support the development of additional Treasury Management products as dictated by market conditions and trends.
3. Works closely with commercial lenders to ensure commercial deposits are gathered and treasury management products are sold to new commercial loan members.
4. Develops and executes sales presentations for members/prospects. This includes formal written and oral presentations in response to requests for proposal as well as in the regular course of business.
5. Makes cold calls to prospective members, generates prospect lists, and cultivates referral sources.
6. Manages commercial deposit relationships and remains the first point of contact for members for all deposit related issues.
7. Cross-sells treasury management products to existing members within their markets.
8. Ensures the proper on-boarding of new treasury management members.
9. Entertains members at networking events, lunches, dinners or other events as needed.
10. Provide continuing education to lenders and front line staff to ensure they are current on treasury management products.
11. Tracks all sales-related activities.
12. Responsible for staying current on all industry issues and regulations applicable to the duties of the position.
13. Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
14. Light in-state travel between branches and to Member Business offices to be expected. Annual out-of-state training seminar is possible.
15. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of financial background
- 2 years of management experience in the financial sector
- Bachelor's Degree
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
