- Risk Management Consultant
Description
Elevate your career by assisting local governments in Wyoming as a Risk Management Consultant. In this role, you will help create safer communities by providing risk management education. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and engaging individual who will promote best practices among Wyoming local governments and their employees. These best practices will span a variety of public functions, including defensive driving and human resource management.
This full-time position is focused on educating and consulting with LGLP members about risk reduction strategies. The goal is to minimize losses and liabilities faced by local governments. You will provide guidance and support to help members implement effective risk management techniques in their daily operations.

Requirements
The following physical and mental abilities are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance, on an occasional basis, for movement and setup of presentation and marketing equipment.
Requires travel throughout the State of Wyoming.
Must be able to successfully negotiate all types of physical sites for the purpose of observing and recording information about members’ buildings, facilities, or worksites.
Must possess the ability and skill to efficiently operate a computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.
Must be able to write clearly, reflecting professional quality.
Must have strong analytical skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively with members and the public with highly varied backgrounds, including difficult and confrontational people.
Must reside in or relocate to Cheyenne, Wyoming; however, a remote workstation may be considered for an experienced candidate who resides in Central or Western Wyoming.
Must be able to concentrate on detailed information and meet deadlines.
Location and Consideration
LGLP is headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming. However, experienced candidates who reside in Central or Western Wyoming may also be considered for this position.
