Role Description
Inside Sales is responsible for assisting the North America Media Sales Team in selling Harmonic's solutions throughout the United States. This role requires a junior sales professional with experience in one or more of the following key industry areas: Video for Cable, Streaming/OTT, and Broadcast sales. The successful candidate will provide critical account management support to our Key Account Managers.
What You Will Be Doing:
Develop deep knowledge of Harmonic's products and services offerings across Video for Cable, Streaming/OTT, and Broadcast solutions.
Learn and master the technology and terminology utilized in the cable, streaming, and broadcast industries.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of our customer's business and technology environment across these three key verticals, as well as the market trends affecting our clients' future commercial strategies.
Align client data points with Harmonic's existing products and services, seeking synergies between our technology roadmap and clients' current and future requirements in Video for Cable, Streaming/OTT, and Broadcast markets.
Professionally articulate client requirements with Harmonic NAM sales staff and NAM pre-sales engineering team, enabling effective engagement with Harmonic Engineering, Research & Development, and Product Development teams to help guide solution development for your clients' specific needs and the Media Market as a whole.
Provide dedicated account management support to Key Account Managers, acting as a trusted extension of their sales efforts.
Maximize revenue and customer satisfaction for target Accounts/Markets within the United States by actively supporting the NAM sales team.
Proactively work with the NAM sales team to identify and pursue new customers and business opportunities across cable, streaming, and broadcast sectors.
Act as an alternative resource during the unavailability of NAM salespeople, ensuring seamless customer service.
Understand, articulate, and document the business and technical needs of NAM customers to propose the appropriate Harmonic solution(s).
Provide strategic input to the NAM sales team to aid in the development and implementation of sales opportunity plans in support of company goals and quota objectives.
Effectively engage sales resources technical pre-sales, product management, program management, channel partners, executive team, and legal to support the successful closure of business by developing customer-centric solutions based on the specific needs of the customer.
Collaborate with NAM sales team to respond to RFI/RFPs, create proposals, develop ROI and TCO analysis.
What You Should Have:
- Industry Experience (Required):
Experience in one or more of the following industry areas:
- Video for Cable solutions and markets
- Streaming/OTT platforms and technologies
- Broadcast sales and operations
- Demonstrated understanding of sales account management and ability to support Account Managers effectively.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients in the media and entertainment industry.

- Exceptional understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detailed knowledge of Salesforce; Oracle, Tableau, and Apttus are a plus
- Strong presentation skills, with excellent written and oral communications ability
- Willingness to place outbound phone calls and participate in email campaigns to potential prospects and customers
- Sales experience required (experience in media/technology sales strongly preferred)
- Sales Channel experience is a plus
- BA/BS degree desired, technical field preferred
Pay & Benefits
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $ 100,000 - $ 125,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. This position may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions are generally offered a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
Travel
Some travel may be required.
