We are seeking a driven Event Sales Manager to support a diverse mix of social events, small meetings, corporate gatherings, and lifestyle celebrations, with an additional focus as the hotel's Wedding Specialist. This role is designed for a service-focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships, creating seamless event experiences, and supporting a wide range of client needs.

You will also be part of a collaborative team at a flagship Inner Harbor property with a strong mix of corporate, local, and social event business.
What You'll Do:
Drive Social Event and Small Meeting Sales
- Proactively sell and contract social events, milestone celebrations, small corporate meetings, association gatherings, holiday celebrations, and lifestyle events.
- Conduct site tours, create tailored proposals, and negotiate contracts aligned with hotel revenue goals.
- Develop relationships with local organizations, corporate partners, planners, and key vendors.
- Represent Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor at community events, networking functions, and targeted industry activities.
Wedding Specialist (Supplemental Focus)
- Support the hotel's limited wedding business by handling inquiries, conducting tours, and assisting couples through the essential planning process.
- Guide clients on packages, menus, setups, timelines, and room block coordination.
- Ensure a warm, supportive, and detail-focused planning experience that reflects Hyatt's culture of care.
- Collaborate across departments including culinary, banquet, audio visual, event services, and operations to ensure smooth event execution.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in event sales, social catering, or meeting planning (hotel or venue experience preferred)
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple event types, timelines, and priorities
- Comfort with sales systems and event technology (Hyatt system training provided)
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating meaningful and memorable events
