Pitt EDGE, the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Excellence in Digital Education, is dedicated to advancing the University's strategic vision for online, hybrid, and continuing education. Established within the Office of the Provost, Pitt EDGE supports the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of digital learning programs across Pitt's 16 schools, providing centralized services such as market analysis, academic planning, recruitment, instructional design, technology integration, and quality assurance. The center collaborates closely with academic units to expand access to high-quality education for diverse learner populations and to ensure cohesive, effective online and hybrid learning experiences. The EDGE Enrollment Management team is a dynamic, data-driven unit dedicated to growing Pitt's portfolio of workforce-aligned online, master's and professional programs. We integrate creative storytelling, digital strategy and enrollment best practices to connect prospective students with transformative educational opportunities that advance their careers.
Job Summary
Develops and implements data-driven, targeted marketing materials and plans to publicize and promote University activities, services, products, and events. Creates and administers effective marketing campaigns; manages social media and email campaigns. Establishes new funding and revenue sources.
Essential Functions
The Email Marketing Manager oversees graduate enrollment email communications across the university, providing strategic direction, standards and coordination for email marketing efforts. This role serves as the central owner of the email channel, guiding the development of effective enrollment-focused email journeys and ensuring alignment with institutional goals, best practices and performance expectations.• Lead the graduate enrollment email marketing function, setting strategy, priorities, and standards. • Oversee development of enrollment-focused email journeys and guide schools in aligning with institutional goals. • Establish governance for email best practices, including content, personalization, accessibility, and brand alignment. • Manage the centralized graduate email communications calendar to ensure coordinated outreach and appropriate cadence. • Direct collaboration with CRM and digital teams to support segmentation, automation, and lifecycle campaigns. • Define performance expectations and use analytics to drive optimization and inform stakeholders. • Set and enforce processes for email development, testing, compliance, and quality assurance. • Serve as the institutional lead for graduate email marketing, advising programs and maintaining accountability for results.
