Location: Ideally based in a major U.S. brewing hotspot (e.g., Denver, Portland, Asheville, Minneapolis, California, or similar) with nearby international airport and ability to travel frequently
Travel: Up to 50% of the time (mainly domestic, occasionally international).

The ABER Instruments Inc USA Sales team is looking to grow with the addition of a Brewing Sales Specialist. ABER has over 35 years of experience making monitoring instrumentation for the brewing and biotech markets. Because we are employee-owned, culture is central to our business. We are looking for a team player who is eager to learn and grow with us. The ideal candidate will be passionate about brewing and yeast management, willing to learn our technology, and ready to connect with brewers in an authentic way.

Main Purpose
The Brewing Sales Specialist will be responsible for direct brewing sales in the US and Canada. This role will focus on connecting with craft and industrial breweries to build strong customer relationships and manage existing accounts. The brewing sales specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver go-to-market plans, manage the sales pipeline, and grow sales in the region. The ideal candidate is Integrated with and passionate about the brewing community, and eager to represent our brand professionally.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build Relationships: Proactively generate leads and nurture long-lasting customer relationships by connecting with brewers across the US and Canada. Ensure customer satisfaction and manage post-sales relationships.
Execute Sales Strategy: Work closely with the team to implement go-to-market plans and positioning strategies
Learn and Consult: Collaborate with breweries to understand process challenges and recommend tailored technical solutions.
Present and Demonstrate: Deliver sales presentations, demos, and proposals to prospective customers.
Pipeline Management: Build and manage the sales pipeline, maintain leads in CRM, and ensure accurate forecasting.
Brand Ambassador: Represent ABER at trade shows and brewing conferences with energy and enthusiasm. Promote ABER’s product portfolio to drive customer adoption.
Industry Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends.
Team Collaboration: Actively participate in our employee-owned culture, sharing feedback and contributing to the success of the wider team.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
Cultural Fit: A collaborative mindset, empathy, integrity, and a willingness to learn and be coached. Customer and solutions-focused.
Relationship Building: Ability to easily connect with people. While an established network is beneficial, we are looking primarily for the ability to build a network.
Educational Background: Minimum BSc in a technical field or equivalent industry experience. A degree or certification from a brewing or distilling school/institution is preferred but not required.
Sales Aptitude: Sales experience is preferred, but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills are a must
Logistics: Current and valid U.S. driver’s license and passport with the ability to freely travel.
Desirable
Technical Curiosity: Technical fermentation knowledge is an asset but not a requirement, as the successful candidate will receive in-depth product training.
CRM Experience: Previous use of a CRM would be advantageous.
Language: A second language would be desirable.
