Meetings and Conferences:
The Sacramento Valley ABOTA Chapter does not hold an annual conference; we hold the following events:
February – Annual President’s Dinner Dance and Installation – 100-120 People
May – Annual Judicial Reception – 100 People
June – Annual Golf Tournament – 100 Golfers Plus Sponsors
August – Annual Summer Dinner and Legends of ABOTA Awards Program – 75 People
October – Annual Membership Meeting (no exhibits, just a dinner meeting) – 80 People
November/December – Annual Masters in Trial Education Program (annual sponsors (4) are the exhibitors) – 60-80 People
Publications:
Description and Frequency of Publications: Periodic E-News, based on the desire of the President; meeting flyers; electronic communications through Constant Contact.
Services provided:
General office – dedicated phone line, fax, mail processing.
Board of Directors Meetings:
Attendance at board meetings
In person
Taking and producing board meeting minutes
Committee Support:
Schedule committee meetings – for golf tournament committee
Attend committee meetings
Financial Management:
General bookkeeping
Processing of accounts payable and receivable
Follow-up on accounts receivable
Preparation and dissemination of financial reports
Budget preparation
Membership:
The Chapter’s membership is maintained by National ABOTA and the Chapter receives Excel spreadsheets of the data. The data is used by the Chapter for e-blasts, retention, etc.
Conference:
See meetings above; the current AMC handles all logistics including venue research and selection, contract negotiation, food and beverage, audio-visual, and provides onsite staff support. There are not speakers for the events except MIT which is minimal. The current AMC also handles all of the registration management for the above-named events and orders awards.
