Description
The School of Management at Binghamton University (State University of New York at Binghamton) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Marketing starting mid-August 2026, subject to budget approval.
Position Responsibilities:
- Publish original and innovative research in the top academic journals in marketing and present them at top marketing conferences.
- Instruct both undergraduate and graduate marketing courses. Preference will be given to the candidate able and willing to teach classes in consumer behavior and social media marketing and expand on the analytics electives currently offered. The standard teaching load is 2+2 per academic year.
- Participate actively in all matters relating to the marketing group including student advising.
- Engage in other service duties for the school and the university both internally and externally, and contribute to the intellectual environment of the area.
The salary and benefits package is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. To support faculty research, SOM provides summer funding for the first three years of service.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Marketing, or a closely related field, or have completed all degree requirements (including securing valid immigration status and work authorization, if applicable) by the academic year obligation start date (August 17, 2026).
- Experience presenting research at academic marketing conferences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Published papers or have papers under review in academic marketing journals.
- Research interests in either behavioral, strategy or quantitative/modeling/analytics areas.
- Ability to teach classes in consumer behavior and social media marketing
