The Department of Finance at Seton Hall University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2026. We seek a collegial scholar and educator dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses across a range of finance areas as determined by departmental needs.

Maintain an active research agenda that results in publications in leading finance journals.

Contribute to service activities at the department, school, university, and professional levels.

Maintain a strong on-campus presence in South Orange, actively engaging in high-impact activities with students such as teaching, mentoring, and academic program development.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Finance from an accredited and reputable institution.

Demonstrated record of, or strong potential for, high-quality research and effective teaching.

Evidence of the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and the professional finance community.

Commitment to collegiality, student well-being, and academic excellence.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of appointment.

ABDs on track to complete their Ph.D. by August 2026 will also be considered.

Salary Range:

$153,000-$170,000

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
